About Yamiko ♡
My name is Emily, the artist and creator of Yamiko - based in Australia.
I run my little art business from home alongside my trusty partner and two cats. Together, we do everything from creating hand-drawn designs to packaging orders to posting on social media!
Starting out in 2021 as a small art business, I found myself wanting to draw cute little characters after a particularly stressful day of teaching. My first drawing was of a cat in a birthday hat, who now features as Yamiko's first ever pin!
The name 'Yamiko' was inspired by my two cats' names: Yams and Loki. After some consideration of what the branding and mascot for Yamiko should be, I decided on a green dragon theme inspired by my love of Dungeons & Dragons.
I create various merchandise featuring adorable characters, such as stickers, pins, washi tapes, memo pads, keychains, tote bags, and much more in future. Moving forward, I would love to expand Yamiko and continue designing cute merch!
